Introduction

The American Journal of Genetics and Genomics (AJGG) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing advances across classical genetics, molecular genetics, population and evolutionary genomics, functional genomics, systems and synthetic biology, medical genetics, and genome technologies.

We welcome original research, reviews, short communications, methods, data/resource papers, and case reports spanning (but not limited to) genome assembly and annotation, epigenomics and chromatin biology, gene regulation and networks, single-cell and spatial omics, quantitative and population genetics, human and clinical genomics, pharmacogenomics, microbial and metagenomics, plant and animal genomics, bioinformatics, and ethical/legal/social implications (ELSI).

Through rigorous peer review and transparent editorial practices, AJGG promotes reproducibility, FAIR data sharing, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to translate genomic discoveries into biological insight and clinical benefit.
