Introduction

The American Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering (AJBB) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal focused on advances at the interface of biological sciences and engineering. AJBB provides a platform for foundational bioscience discoveries and their translation into bioprocesses, therapeutics, diagnostics, devices, and sustainable bio-based technologies.

We welcome original research, reviews, short communications, and case studies spanning (but not limited to) synthetic and systems biology, metabolic and protein engineering, biomaterials and tissue engineering, bioprocess engineering and scale-up, microfluidics and lab-on-a-chip, biosensors and bioinstrumentation, computational and quantitative biology, environmental and industrial biotechnology, and bioenergy.

Through rigorous peer review and transparent editorial practices, AJBB promotes reproducible science and cross-disciplinary collaboration to accelerate real-world impact in healthcare, industry, and the environment.
