About the Journal
The American Journal of Computer Science and Technology (AJCST) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal committed to publishing high-quality research that advances theory and practice across computer science and computing technologies. Our mission is to accelerate reproducible research and foster collaboration between academia and industry.
AJCST welcomes original research articles, surveys, short communications, replication studies, negative results with insights, systems papers, and case studies. Interdisciplinary submissions that connect computing with natural sciences, engineering, health, and the social sciences are encouraged. Core areas include:
- Algorithms, Complexity Theory, and Discrete Mathematics
- Machine Learning, AI, Data Mining, and Knowledge Discovery
- Computer Vision, Speech, and Natural Language Processing
- Software Engineering, Testing, and DevOps
- Distributed Systems, Cloud/Edge, and Operating Systems
- Networking, Wireless/5G/6G, and Mobile Computing
- Databases, Data Engineering, and Information Retrieval
- Security, Privacy, Cryptography, and Digital Forensics
- Human–Computer Interaction, Visualization, and UX
- Embedded Systems, IoT, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Robotics
- High-Performance and Parallel Computing
- Programming Languages, Compilers, and Runtimes

- Responsible & Trustworthy AI, Fairness, and Governance
All manuscripts undergo rigorous double-blind peer review managed by an international editorial board. We endorse open science practices: availability of code, datasets, and detailed experimental protocols where feasible.
As an open-access journal, AJCST provides immediate, free access to all articles, supporting equitable knowledge sharing and rapid dissemination of results.
The journal is published quarterly and is working toward inclusion in leading indexing services to maximize the visibility and impact of authors’ work.
