Introduction

The American Journal of Plant Biology (AJPB) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing research that advances understanding of plant form, function, evolution, and applications. AJPB spans molecular to ecosystem scales, highlighting discoveries that drive sustainable agriculture, biodiversity conservation, and bio-based innovation.

We welcome original research, reviews, short communications, methods, and case studies across (but not limited to) plant genomics and epigenetics, systems and synthetic biology, developmental and cell biology, physiology and metabolism, plant–microbe and plant–insect interactions, stress biology and climate resilience, ecology and evolution, crop science and breeding, phytochemistry, bioinformatics, and plant biotechnologies.
