Introduction

The American Journal of Earth Sciences (AJES) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing advances across geology, geophysics, geochemistry, geomorphology, hydrology, atmospheric and ocean sciences, cryosphere studies, natural hazards, and Earth system modeling.

We welcome original research, reviews, short communications, methods, data papers, and case studies spanning (but not limited to) tectonics and structural geology, sedimentology and stratigraphy, petrology and mineralogy, seismology and volcanology, paleontology and paleoclimate, remote sensing and GIS, groundwater and surface hydrology, climate dynamics, coastal and marine processes, carbon cycle, and planetary/space geoscience.

Through rigorous peer review and transparent editorial practices, AJES promotes reproducibility, open data, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to inform resource stewardship, risk reduction, and sustainable development.
